Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced actuarial leader to join Aviva as our Actuarial Reporting Lead. In this role, you'll lead a team of talented actuaries responsible for delivering high-quality actuarial reporting across multiple financial and regulatory frameworks, including Solvency II and IFRS.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of critical actuarial outputs that support business decision-making, regulatory compliance and financial reporting. This is a highly visible leadership position where you'll drive process improvement, strengthen controls, embrace automation and help shape the future direction of our actuarial function.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of approximately six actuaries, creating a high-performing and collaborative environment that supports growth, accountability and operational excellence.

• Oversee the delivery of liability valuations, capital assessments, stress testing, actuarial assumptions and IFRS/Solvency II reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and well controlled.

• Drive continuous improvement by streamlining reporting processes, reducing reliance on end-user computing tools, enhancing automation and embedding robust governance and controls.

• Partner with key stakeholders across Reporting Analysis & Insight, Finance, IT, Audit and the wider Actuarial Function to deliver high-quality actuarial information and business insights.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Actuary with extensive post-qualification experience and strong expertise in actuarial reporting within life insurance or financial services environments.

• Extensive knowledge of Solvency II, IFRS reporting, capital modelling, liability valuation methodologies and regulatory reporting requirements.

• Proven people leadership experience with the ability to lead diverse teams, manage competing priorities and influence a broad range of stakeholders.

• Demonstrated success delivering process efficiencies, automation initiatives and operational improvements within a controlled reporting environment.

• Strong communication, analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to translate complex actuarial concepts into clear business insights for technical and non-technical audiences.

The expected pay range for this role will fall between €120,000 and €140,000 and salary offered willcommensurate with candidate'slevel of skills and experience.
