This construction company, based in north county Dublin, has grown exponentially over the past years. They are seeking an experienced accounting technician to join their team. This role is office-based in Dublin 17. Applicants should note that you must be available to work in the office.

Your new role

You will be tasked with various duties such as:

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of financial reports
  • Assist in budgets and forecasts
  • Manage end-of-month and end-of-year closing processes
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Track invoices and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Assist with filing, data entry, and document management
  • Respond to enquiries from suppliers, customers, and external stakeholders
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team
  • Assist with audits
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will have:

  • ATI qualification (desired but not required)
  • Experience in an SME finance role
  • Strong AP/AR knowledge
  • Knowledge of Irish taxation and reporting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience reporting financial data to non-finance leaders (advantage)
  • Exposure to Sage or QuickBooks (advantage)
  • Strong communication skills in English
