Job summary

Howden Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Financial Lines Insurance account handler to support the Financial Lines Commercial team. The role reports to their direct Line manager and will assist Account Executives to provide clients with appropriate advice and a quality service to meet their individual insurance needs while treating customers fairly and upholding regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and handle all work promptly and accurately.
• Handle all queries in a professional manner via phone or written contact.
• Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times.
• Process adjustments, notify insurers, issue revised documentation, and collect additional premium.
• Refer queries outside own scope to senior staff.
• Issue renewal documentation and data input.
• Deal with client payments in line with procedures.

Based in any of our Dublin offices, Howden are delighted to have a vacancy as a Financial Lines Insurance account handler that will be part of our Financial Lines Commercial team. This role will be a hybrid working opportunity after the individual is fully trained.

About the role:

Reporting to their direct Line manager, your overall function will be to assist Account Executives to provide clients with appropriate advice and a quality service to meet their individual insurance needs, whilst treating customers fairly and having regard to regulatory obligations, upholding a professional image, and maximizing business opportunities and profit for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and handle all work promptly and accurately.
• Handle all queries, whether written or by telephone, in a professional manner and process effectively in line with service standards.
• Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times.
• Process adjustments in line with procedures, including notification to insurers, issue of revised documentation, and collection of additional premium.
• Refer all queries that fall outside own experience, knowledge and authority to senior staff.
• Issuing renewal documentation and data input.
• Dealing with client payments in line with Howden procedures.

About You:

• 2 years in an insurance environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively assist clients with their inquiries, providing prompt and courteous service.
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and deadlines, maintaining organized records, and supporting account handlers in day-to-day administrative duties.
• Ability to meticulously handle and review policy documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, supporting account handlers and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals and deliver exceptional service to clients.
