Job summary

CASTLE QUARRY CRUSHING & PLANT HIRE LIMITED is seeking multiple 360 Excavator Operators & Loading Shovel Driver roles for Brooklodge Demesne, Ballyglunin, Co. Galway. These positions require hands-on operation, adherence to safety standards, and ability to work as part of a team in a quarry setting.

The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €42,000 based on a 39-hour week, with increases for additional hours. Salary will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a loading shovel and/or 360 Excavator.
• Relevant plant operator certification/QSCS card (preferred) but not essential
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to safety
• Previous experience in a Quarry Environment (an advantage)
• Strong health & safety awareness

Responsibilities

• Operate a Loading shovel and 360 Excavator on site
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the excavator and report any issues promptly to ensure machinery is in good working condition
• Move, sort, and manage materials safely and efficiently
• Conduct daily pre-use machine checks and report defects
• Follow all on-site health & safety procedures at all times
