Job summary

Job description

Job Description At Brown Bag Films, our motto is simple: “We love animation.” In fact, we love it so much we trademarked it! ‘We Love Animation.’ That means we put our artists at the heart of everything we do!

We are looking for a 2D Designer to join our team who will create artwork that communicates the creative vision of the designated show’s director and art director, in line with the workflow and pipeline needs, and to a consistent style and quality level.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Creating 2D designs for different types of assets (characters, props, sets, FX) depending on skill set.
  2. Creating texture and colour callouts for different types of assets (characters, props, sets, FX) depending on skill set.
  3. Collaborating with the production and CG teams to meet pipeline demands.
  4. Proactively problem solving; creating IT and pipeline tickets to address technical problems.
  5. Logging time into time logging software daily.

Key Requirements

  1. Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of CG pipeline and animation environment.
  2. Experience: Working as a 2D Designer (or similar) in broadcast or feature film work (desirable). Experience with asset tracking systems (e.g., Shotgun) (desirable).
