Job summary

Centrica plc in Athlone is seeking a Shift Operations Technician to join our 24/7 team. The role requires participation in a rotating shift pattern and standby rota, with full flexibility in hours.

You will monitor energy assets, support safety culture, ensure compliance, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise asset performance. Experience in SCADA and data analytics with PI Systems, Power BI and Excel is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in the Operation of Energy Assets and SCADA control systems.
• Data analytics skills, beneficial with PI Systems, Power BI and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Engagement with key teams to support safety and environmental culture and ensure compliance.
• Monitoring energy assets locally and remotely to highlight issues.
• Maximise asset operational efficiency in line with requirements.
• Control and dispatch of assets in line with local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely handovers between shifts.
