Job summary

NeoDyne, a leading engineering company, is recruiting a Graduate Automation Engineer to join the System Integration team in Galway. The two-year graduate programme places you on real projects across Industrial Automation, including PLC/SCADA design, MES, and control logic programming.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical/Automation/Mechanical/Instrument Engineering (Level 8) or equivalent.
  • Full Irish driving license or to be achieved within 12 months of starting.
  • 0-2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing process improvement role or work placement.
  • Experience programming PLCs.

Responsibilities

  • Work across Industrial Automation projects including PLC/SCADA design, MES, control logic programming, panel design, site testing and commissioning.
  • Generate technical documentation and engage with customers; travel to customer sites for installation, testing and commissioning.

Position Summary

NeoDyne are recruiting a Graduate Automation Engineer to join our expanding System Integration team. Our graduate programme is all about learning new and developing your existing skills. Over a two-year period, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business. This Graduate opportunity is offered as a full-time permanent contract, based at our Galway Office, with an excellent salary and benefits package. What might I be doing?
  • Over a two-year period, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business. Projects will be spread across all areas of Industrial Automation and could include PLC and SCADA design, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), control logic programming, control panel hardware design, and site testing & commissioning.
  • Generating technical documentation and dealing with customers will also be key parts of our graduate programme to help develop your soft skills. You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites to get involved in installation, testing, and commissioning.

Required
Experience & skills
  • Level 8 Degree in Electrical/ Automation/ Mechanical/ Instrument Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Full Irish driving license or to be achieved within 12 months of starting the role.
Desired
  • 0-2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing process improvement role or Work Placement.
