Key Responsibilities
  • Research, investigate and produce high-quality news stories
  • Conduct interviews, attend events, and cover breaking news across Ireland
  • Verify information, fact-check thoroughly, and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with editorial and production teams on content planning and strategy
  • Create engaging multimedia content,articles, photos, and video reports
  • Build and maintain a network of sources within Irish media and public life
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Journalism, Theology, Philosophy or equivalent experience
  • Proven work or internship experience in journalism, reporting or editorial
  • Fluency in English with exceptional writing and editing skills
  • ️ Able to work independently under time pressure with attention to detail
  • Tech savvy: Familiar with MS Office, digital editing tools, search platforms & databases
  • Photography and/or video journalism skills are a strong plus
  • Keen interest in Irish news, politics, and cultural issues
  • Excellent communication, networking and investigative instincts
  • ️ Native English speaker preferred
