PT Arnott's Indonesia is a multinational company with brands Good Time and Nyam Nyam. We are looking for a WWTP Operator to join our team. This role is Full-Time based in Bekasi.
Responsibilities:
WWTP Operation & Facility
- Operate, monitor, and control wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) equipment, including pumps, aerators, blowers, clarifiers, filter presses, and chemical dosing systems.
- Conduct routine plant inspections to ensure equipment, piping, and treatment systems are operating efficiently.
- Monitor WWTP operational parameters through supervisory control systems and manual gauges to maintain optimal plant performance.
Chemical Management & Water Testing
- Perform routine laboratory testing, including pH, COD, TSS, DO, and jar tests, to monitor water quality throughout the treatment process.
- Calculate and adjust chemical dosages to ensure effective wastewater treatment and compliance with operational standards.
- Handle, store, and replenish treatment chemicals safely in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS).
- Conduct water sampling and ensure treated water meets environmental and regulatory requirements.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Carry out preventive maintenance on WWTP equipment and facilities to ensure reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues, escalating major breakdowns to the Maintenance or Engineering team when required.
- Support sludge handling, hazardous waste management, and maintain cleanliness of the WWTP facility in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate daily operational records, including plant performance, laboratory test results, chemical consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure WWTP operations comply with company standards and applicable environmental regulations.
Ingredients you will need to be successful in this role:
- Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or Technical School graduate, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating industrial or municipal wastewater treatment plants.
- Certified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (e.g., BNSP Operator IPAL/PPPA certification) is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of physical, chemical, and biological wastewater treatment processes.
- Ability to perform basic laboratory water quality testing.
- Familiar with HMI systems, plumbing, and basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience operating biological wastewater treatment systems is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments, confined spaces, at heights, and handle chemical materials safely.
- Willing to work on a shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays when required.
