Job summary

DM Burr Group is seeking a Part Time Custodian for the 1st shift at MSU College of Human Medicine in Flint, MI. Schedule is Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The role offers $13.75 per hour with dailyPay options.

Responsibilities include cleaning, operating floor care equipment, restocking supplies, and reporting safety issues to supervision. Requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED or technical school certification.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• 0–6 months custodial/janitorial experience with floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies.
• Follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Pay close attention to detail; work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Use approved methods and materials to clean and care for the facility.
• Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors with equipment.
• Empty trash receptacles and clean restrooms and break rooms.
• -remove stains from rugs, walls, floors using cleaning solutions.
• Dust, wash walls, clean ceilings, polish light fixtures.
• Move furniture and equipment to access areas for cleaning.
• Record cleaning functions on logs and report to Supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance and report safety items.
• Other duties as assigned.
