Job summary

Printwand is seeking a college student for a hands-on Web Development Internship to support our Web Development and Project Managers. This role provides exposure to daily duties of a web professional and a variety of projects including building, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting websites and scripts.

You will gain experience with back-end development, cross-browser compatibility, and collaborate with designers and programmers to deliver innovative online solutions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student pursuing a degree in computer science or related field (Junior or Senior preferred).
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, JSP, ASP, etc.

Job description

We are looking for a college student who wants hands-on experience in web development at a growing e-commerce start-up company. This position will help support our Web Development and Project Managers and gain invaluable experience. As the Web Development Intern, you will gain working knowledge into the daily responsibilities of a web development professional at an expanding growing company. There will be a variety of different projects and tasks that may include: creating, building, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting web sites, web applications and scripts. You must have web design and layout experience and a thorough understanding of cross platform/browser compatibility issues. This position will provide the opportunity to work closely with our project managers, graphic designers, and programmers to create innovative online solutions. You will help with general maintenance of company websites, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner. You must have experience with back-end web development

Requirements

• A currently enrolled student well versed in Internet technologies and applications, pursuing a degree in computer science or a related field. (Junior or Senior preferred)
• A working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, JSP, ASP, etc
• Experience with server-side technologies (i.e. ASP, PHP, .NET, etc.) and interfacing with a database (i.e. MySQL, SQL Server, Access)
• A team oriented, hard working individual, who likes to collaborate
• Avid internet user with strong computer skills
• Strong design skill with a keen attention to detail
• Social Media and Blogging experience preferred
