Job description

You will be supporting our manufacturing operations with focus on optimizing and controlling production resource planning processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will also be responsible to manage the internal Purchasing, Warehouse and Planning team for developing a master schedule for coordinating and managing resources to ensure on time delivery of products. This role requires strong fundamental understanding skills on manufacturing resource planning management, process optimization procedures, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of planners, purchaser and warehouse staff to coordinate on material resource planning and utilization process together with the manufacturing team by following pre-planned production master schedule.
  • Forecast demand based on existing and new project requirements while needs of production capacity, resource availability planning activities as well as professional growth development in the department.
  • Manage warehouse activities and monitor inventory levels while developing strategies to optimize inventory turnover while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements, waste reduction, and efficiency enhancements. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives together with the purchasing and manufacturing team while maintaining quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between manufacturing, warehouse, sales, and other relevant departments while keeping stakeholders informed of production status, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to communicate production plans, address issues, and drive alignment across departments whenever necessary.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in operation management, supply chain management, engineering, or business related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in production planning or operation management in manufacturing environments with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
  • Able to speak and write Mandarin & English in professional setting.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, procurement processes, and contract negotiation strategies.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and tools, such as ERP systems, advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing planning team.
  • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are a plus.
  • Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
  • Positive mindset and Can Do Attitude.
