This role is accountable not only for building great products (strategy & innovation), but also for establishing robust product governance & world-class product culture that promotes core values of Customer focus, Experimentation, and Focus on Result.
Responsibilities:- Strategic & Portfolio Leadership
- Define and drive a customer-centric, data-informed product strategy aligned with Amar Bank’s purpose and growth goals.
- Prioritize and govern multiple product lines at different maturity stages—balancing innovation with operational and regulatory stability.
- Lead, define, represent, and communicate Digital Product Line Vision, Strategy, and OKRs for all stakeholders.
- Lead, define, represent, and communicate quarterly key strategic cross-product line strategies and initiatives for all stakeholders.
- Own key strategic initiatives from product line discovery, delivery, experimentation, and effectively communicate progress & outcomes with top-level stakeholders (Business Heads, CTO, CEO).
- Manage the entire product line lifecycle from discovery, delivery, deployment, marketing, to retirement.
- Become the key product evangelist and participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders, and market analysts.
- Product Governance & Risk Management
- Establish and enforce product governance processes across ideation, development, rollout, and sunsetting.
- Ensure compliance with OJK/BI requirements, data privacy laws, and internal control frameworks.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit to integrate checkpoints and traceability into product delivery.
- Drive documentation standards, audit readiness, and approval flows (e.g., Product Committee reviews, risk assessments).
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead three functional groups: Product Management, Design, Research.
- Mentor senior leaders across the team, instill a culture of customer focus, experimentation, focus on results, and ownership.
- Create clarity in structure, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration across teams.
- Determine the overall product organization team improvement vision & semester direction.
- Ensure that the product organization structure, manpower planning, and budget allocation are effective.
- Build high-performing teams and processes to deliver products that meet customer needs and company objectives.
Requirements:- 8+ years of experience in product leadership roles.
- 4+ years of experience managing B2C digital loan applications (BNPL/Cash Loan).
- Ownership mindset, drive to learn, grit & resilience.
- Proven ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders across product, technology, and business functions, operating with a high degree of autonomy—translating goals into actionable strategies, setting governance standards, and driving execution without close oversight.
- Mastery of product analytics, operations, discovery, delivery, experimentation, and governance.
- Proven experience establishing or operating within robust product governance frameworks & cultivating a world-class product culture (Discovery/Experimentation/Analytics).
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Bonus Points If:- A Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing B2C loan products in international or multi-market environments.
- Experience managing product managers, designers, & researchers directly.
- Strong understanding of the financial services system and compliance responsibilities at the product level.
- Familiar with Product Analytics Tools (Looker, Mixpanel), A/B Testing tools (Statsig, AB Tasty), screen-recording tools, JIRA.
- Deep understanding of digital loans, digital banking, SME Banking, and Embedded Banking.
- Strong grasp of Indonesia’s financial ecosystem and regulatory landscape, including dealings with OJK, Bank Indonesia, and industry associations.
- Strong understanding of the Indonesian market & customer behavior.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
