Job summary

PT Alpha Magsaysay International is seeking an experienced baker for premium hospitality on board ships. The role requires at least five years of baking experience, including one year as a Baker in premium environments, plus knowledge of European bakery practices.

The successful candidate must be fluent in English, a strong team player with excellent hygiene, aged 21–35, able to lift 30 kg and work eleven hours daily, seven days a week. Cruise industry experience is a plus.

• In-depth knowledge of European bakery practices; strong hands-on techniques.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication for menus/recipes.

Job description

• A required minimum of five years professional baking experience, including at least one year experience as a Baker within a premium brand hospitality environment; previous culinary education is an advantage.
• Must have an in-depth understanding of European bakery practices; demonstrate excellent hands‑on techniques and an ability to exceed expectations.
• Fluent in English - must have excellent English communication skills to clearly interpret and orate documents, such as menus and recipes.
• Flexible, stress resistant, committed team player and exceptional work ethic is required.
• Guest‑focused, service‑oriented, positive personality, professional appearance, and impeccable hygiene standards, with excellent knowledge of all Public Health and Sanitary Policies are required.
• Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years old, able to physically handle 50+ lbs. (30KGs) on a daily basis, and work a minimum of eleven hours a day, seven days a week.
• Previous cruise industry experience is an advantage.
