Job description

A Video Editor is required for an on-location documentary editing project in Seminyak, Indonesia. The role involves assembling a rough cut for UNBECOMING, a story-driven documentary exploring transformation, consciousness, and authentic change. The position includes working closely with the director and story team to craft a compelling narrative using DaVinci Resolve. All footage will be provided, and the edit will take place in a fully equipped, comfortable office over a 7–10 day period between June 30th and July 12th, 2025. The editor will play a central role in shaping the emotional and thematic flow of the film, with the potential for continued remote collaboration during post-production.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
• Demonstrated experience in documentary or narrative film editing
• Ability to collaborate closely with a director and story team
• Skilled at crafting compelling, emotionally resonant narratives
• Must be available for in-person editing in Bali from June 30th – July 12th, 2025
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, creative environment
• Passion for meaningful storytelling and openness to unconventional narrative techniques
