Vice Principal Student Affair for Senior High School

The Vice Principal for Student Affairs at Sekolah Bogor Raya is responsible for overseeing student development programs, extracurricular activities, and behavior management within the secondary school. This role is integral to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all students.

In collaboration with teachers, parents, and school leadership, the Vice Principal fosters a positive school culture, supports student well-being, and leads various student leadership initiatives. Additionally, the Vice Principal for Student Affairs also serves as a History subject teacher, contributing to both academic and personal growth of students.

Job Description:

  • Oversee student well-being, engagement, and discipline to maintain a positive school environment.
  • Implement and monitor policies and procedures related to student behavior, discipline, and welfare.
  • Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and character development among students.

Extracurricular & Student Development Programs:

  • Plan, supervise, and evaluate student leadership programs, extracurricular activities, and community service projects.
  • Ensure extracurricular programs provide meaningful learning experiences and align with the school’s mission.
  • Lead school-wide events, student clubs, and enrichment programs that enhance student engagement.

Behavior Management & Student Support:

  • Develop and enforce discipline policies aligned with the school’s values.
  • Support students facing behavioral or personal challenges and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain records of student behavior, attendance, and disciplinary matters.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and well-being.

Collaboration & Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with the Principal and leadership team to align student affairs initiatives with the school’s vision and goals.
  • Establish partnerships with parents, external organizations, and government institutions to support student growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant education policies and student welfare regulations.

Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on best practices by attending faculty meetings, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.

Teaching History:

In addition to administrative duties, the Vice Principal will also be responsible for teaching the History subject to secondary school students, ensuring that the curriculum is delivered effectively and engagingly.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education or in the subject area of History or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in student affairs leadership, discipline, or extracurricular coordination in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of student development, behavioral management, and school culture-building.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, inspire, and support students and staff.
  • Knowledge of relevant education regulations, student welfare policies, and best practices.
  • A background in teaching, particularly in History, with a passion for educating and mentoring students.
