About the role

Join our team as the Vice President of Freight Forwarding. This is a full-time position based in North Jakarta, Jakarta Raya. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions for our diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage the freight forwarding department, optimising processes and procedures to enhance service delivery
• Oversee the coordination of import and export shipments, including air freight, sea freight, and ground transportation
• Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers
• Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics services
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards
• Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of freight forwarding professionals to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior freight forwarding or logistics management role
