Job description

The VP of Finance will lead the company’s financial reporting, tax compliance, accounting operations, financial budgeting. This executive role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, optimizing tax strategies, and maintaining compliance with local & international financial regulations. The VP will play a key leadership role in strategic financial planning and risk management, especially during periods of expansion, audit, and IPO-readiness.

This role will lead strategic corporate budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, hands-on financial oversight, ensuring compliance while driving profitability across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Group Consolidation: Lead consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards
  • Budget: Lead budgeting, forecasting and revenue & cost controls
  • M&A Support: Manage tax due diligence, post-merger integration, and financial structuring for acquisitions
  • Controls & Automation: Develop financial policies, internal controls, and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow, liquidity planning, and intercompany financing across subsidiaries

Tax Compliance & Advisory

  • Direct/Indirect Taxes: Manage corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, and cross-border tax filings in Singapore and Indonesia.
  • Transfer Pricing: Ensure compliance with guidelines and maintain transfer pricing documentation for related-party transactions.
  • Tax Audits: Act as primary liaison with IRAS (Singapore) and Indonesian tax authorities for audits and disputes.

Accounting Operations

  • Financial Reporting: Supervise monthly/quarterly closes, ensuring accuracy under SFRS and Indonesian GAAP.
  • Compliance: Maintain internal controls and audit readiness for both jurisdictions.
  • Team Leadership: Manage accounting, finance & tax teams ensuring cross functional collaboration.

Regulatory & Risk Management

  • Cross-Border Compliance: Monitor regulatory changes in both countries, advising on impacts to business operations.
  • Tax Optimization: Identify opportunities for tax incentives, foreign tax credits, and double taxation relief (e.g., Indonesia-Singapore tax treaty).

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CFA certification.
  • Experience: 15+ years in finance leadership roles with audit, corporate finance, advisory, & tax background.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP/Oracle ERP for multi-currency consolidations, Business Intelligence Analytics, Excel, Modelling, Valuation.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Stakeholders: Collaborate with external advisors, legal teams, cross function, board members, C-level leaders to align financial strategies.
