Job summary

PT Kruger Ventilation Indonesia seeks an experienced Estimator/Application Engineer Staff to join our Tangerang technical team. This full-time role bridges sales, engineering and project delivery, delivering accurate cost estimates, technical specs and engineering solutions for ventilation projects.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background, 3–5 years in estimating or application engineering within HVAC or mechanical fields, and strong CAD/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional qualification in engineering disciplines
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimating, application engineering or technical sales roles within the ventilation, HVAC or mechanical engineering sector
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) for preparing technical drawings and specifications
• Solid understanding of ventilation system design principles, calculations and industry standards
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical components used in ventilation systems
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and spreadsheet applications for preparing detailed quotations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with ability to prepare clear technical documentation
• Familiarity with relevant Indonesian and international ventilation standards and regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering and project delivery
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all technical and commercial documentation
• Preferred experience with specific ventilation applications such as industrial, commercial, or specialised HVAC systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for ventilation systems and related projects based on technical specifications and client requirements
• Conduct technical assessments and site evaluations to determine appropriate ventilation solutions for various applications
• Develop engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation for ventilation system designs
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and provide tailored technical solutions
• Review and analyse project specifications, blueprints and engineering requirements to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards
• Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and component schedules for ventilation systems
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times and technical data
• Support project management teams during implementation to ensure designs are executed according to specifications
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, designs and project documentation
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system selection and installation requirements
