Job summary

Leighton Asia Limited in Jakarta seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial planning on projects. You will track project costs and cash flows against budget, prepare and submit monthly progress claims, and assist in procurement scheduling and subcontractor evaluation.

You will work with project teams to prepare contracts to minimize cost, maximize recovery, and limit contractual exposure to disputes.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related subject.
• Total work experience of 8+ years, with 3-5 years in contracting of projects of similar size/complexity.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry and contracting legal aspects.

Responsibilities

Job description

The role is responsible for providing support to commercial planning for projects; tracking and reporting project costs and cash flows against budget; preparing, submitting and tracking monthly progress claims to client; preparing procurement schedules; sub-contractor evaluation and preparation of contracts in conjunction with project teams WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF minimizing financial cost, maximizing financial recovery and limiting contractual and commercial exposure to dispute.

General Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveyor or related subject
• Total work experience: 8+ years
• Total relevant experience: 3-5 years of experience in contracting of projects of similar size/complexity
• Knowledge of construction industry
• Knowledge of legal aspects relevant to contracting
• Planning & time management skills
• Willing to be placed in project location and follow company roster schedule
