Job summary

Hanwha Life Indonesia seeks a Valuation Team Member to support the valuation of insurance liabilities, technical reserves, and related actuarial reporting in Jakarta. You will develop strategies and processes, perform and supervise calculations of actuarial liabilities across portfolios, and review results for accuracy under IFRS 17/PSAK 117.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are welcome to apply.
• Experience or knowledge in actuarial modeling and/or programming is preferred.
• Good understanding of insurance business processes and technical reserve/valuation concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies, policies, and processes related to insurance liability valuation.
• Perform and supervise the calculation of actuarial liabilities across business portfolios.
• Review and analyze valuation results to ensure the accuracy and completeness of insurance liabilities and technical reserves.
• Support IFRS 17 / PSAK 117 reports and requirements for regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate and validate valuation data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support internal and external audit processes related to technical reserve calculations.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure effective implementation of valuation processes and reporting.
