Job Description

1. Handle all cleaning materials, chemicals, and machinery necessary for daily operations.
2. Demonstrate the ability to work with the cleaning equipment and machinery assigned to the ship.
3. Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep of all galley cleaning equipment.
4. Use only the ship’s authorized chemicals, in accordance with relevant SOPs and instructions from Supervisors.
5. Minimize equipment loss and damage; report any damages to the Head Cleaner.
6. Ensure all responsibilities comply with Public Health Policies and Procedures at all times.
7. Participate in “The Daily Reunion” daily to understand operational needs and ensure adherence to Viking’s STAR Service Standards.
8. Always wear appropriate, task-specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and use correct lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
9. Maintain impeccable grooming standards by complying with Viking’s Image and Uniform Standards.
10. Secure and protect company property, especially during rough weather, to prevent loss or damage.
11. Demonstrate flexibility by working at different times, under pressure, with a positive attitude, and representing Viking well.
12. Know and operate in line with safety, security, environmental, and health policies; participate in all required training, safety drills, and exercises.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
