Job summary

Sunday is seeking an Underwriter Property Each Day to review applications for Property, Engineering, and Casualty, gather information, assess risks, and set terms within authority. The role requires data analysis, adherence to SOPs, and timely issuance of policies and renewal notices.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in underwriting and a degree in a related field, with AAAIK/AAIK titles advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document scanning software is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in related field is required.
• 3–5 years of underwriting experience in property, engineering, and casualty.
• Having AAAIK or AAIK title/certifications is an advantage.
• Experience using document scanning software or applications.

As Underwriter Property Each Day, You'll Be

• Review insurance applications (new/renewal) for Property, Engineering, and Casualty within the authority limit.
• Gather supporting information and assess risks.
• Analyze data using internal and external statistics.
• Set coverage terms and conditions for negotiation with clients/intermediaries.
• Ensure accurate and proper issuance of insurance policies and renewal notices are issued on time.
• Understand the process so underwriting decisions do not harm the company and align with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Make or approve decisions related to underwriting processes and administration within their authority limits.
• Sign insurance documents in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Holds a Degree in related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in underwriting property, engineering, and casualty business
• Having AAAIK or AAIK title and/or certifications would be an advantage
• Experienced in operating the care system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite as well as familiarity with document scanning software or applications.
• Ensure accuracy in viewing, checking, reading, comparing, and analyzing data, as well as in assessing the suitability and necessity of data for the underwriting process.
• Strong perseverance and stamina to effectively manage dynamic workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective time management skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
