About the role

PT TLG Electric Motorcycle Indonesia is seeking a skilled Mandarin Translator to join our team in West Java. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in facilitating seamless communication between our company and our Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. As the Mandarin Translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating documents, emails, and other communications, ensuring clear and effective exchange of information.

Responsibilities

1. Translate written documents from English to Mandarin and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and clarity for the retail in vehicle electric industry.
2. Interpret verbal communications for Mandarin-speaking customers and staff during meetings, consultations, and events to retail in vehicle electric industry.
3. Assist in creating and adapting marketing materials for our Mandarin-speaking audience to enhance engagement and understanding.
4. Provide linguistic support for training sessions, helping staff understand Mandarin-speaking communication effectively.
5. Collaborate with retail operations to ensure all visual merchandising and signage are adequately translated and culturally sensitive.
6. Maintain accurate records of translations and interpretations for reference and compliance purposes.
7. Conduct quality checks on translated documents to uphold the company’s standards of excellence in communication.

Requirements

1. Diploma or S1 in any major
2. Fluency in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory
3. Proven experience as a translator and interpreter in a professional setting, preferably within the retail industry.
4. Strong understanding of cultural nuances and customer service practices in Mandarin-speaking communities.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
6. Proficiency with translation software and tools is highly desirable.
7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
8. A degree or certification in HSK, translation, linguistics, or a related field is preferred, for TOEFL (optional)
9. Interest in electric vehicle or automotive industry.
