Job Description: Theme Park Maintenance Technician

Genting Malaysia is a leading multinational conglomerate involved in leisure and hospitality, including theme parks, casinos, hotels, seaside resorts, and entertainment venues in Malaysia, the UK, and the US. It is one of the largest listed companies in Malaysia.

With over 50 years of experience, Genting Malaysia is expanding Resorts World Genting into a premier tourism and entertainment hub through the Genting Integrated Resort Transformation Plan. Key projects include Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, Genting SkyWorlds outdoor theme park, and SkyAvenue shopping complex, featuring a state-of-the-art cable car system connecting SkyAvenue to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets.

Reporting To: Technical Senior Executive/Technical Executive/Technical Supervisor

Basic Functions: To perform daily routine maintenance and operational tasks in the Theme Park Technical Division.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the availability, efficiency, and safety of rides and facilities through monitoring and ad hoc maintenance activities.

Quality Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WKI).
• Implement effective Preventive Maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform quality repairs during breakdowns.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out ad hoc repairs as needed.
• Perform overtime duties as required.
• Ensure safety and efficiency of all rides and facilities.
• Report breakdowns, discrepancies, and emergencies promptly, taking charge until supervision arrives.
• Maintain attendance records.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and shutdown tasks.
• Perform additional duties as directed by superiors.

Minimum Requirements

• Recognized technical/engineering diploma or certificate in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience if without formal qualification.

• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with other departments.
• Support operational activities across Theme Park divisions.
