Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.

We are presently seeking a Test Engineer who will focus on the development and optimization of product testing equipment to ensure high yield and quality standards in our manufacturing process. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to improve test procedures, troubleshoot testing equipment, and ensure the reliability and consistency of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize test equipment and procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, procedures, and setups to ensure consistent product quality and yield.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues with test equipment and improve product performance.
• Perform failure analysis and provide recommendations for improving testing accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop software for automating tests, collecting data, and generating reports.
• Monitor and analyze testing yields, providing feedback for product design and process improvements.
• Ensure test equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and performs within required specifications.
• Continuously improve testing processes to reduce cycle times while maintaining high quality standards.
• Provide technical support and training on testing procedures and equipment to production teams.
• Support Six Sigma initiatives aimed at improving testing quality, yield, and process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in daily work activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Strong experience in product testing, test equipment design, and yield optimization.
• Proficiency in test programming and automation (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, C++, etc.).
• Knowledge of test equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• Strong experience in improving test processes and analyzing test data to enhance product quality and yield.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement and quality management.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
