A leading mining company in Nusa Tenggara Barat is seeking a Technician Mechanical for their combined cycle power plant. The role includes performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring safety protocols. Applicants should have a minimum of three years' experience in a power plant and expertise in predictive maintenance. Shift work and local hiring are required.
Determine the tools, parts, supplies, and equipment necessary to perform a job.
Perform maintenance tasks, such as pump alignment, bearing changes, greasing, lubrication changes, gauge glass replacement, valve replacement, repacking, etc.
Uses computerized work management system to plan work requests and order spare parts.
Takes the lead on performing boiler tube leak repairs:
Ensures personnel safety by observing red tag and confined space entry procedures.
Properly rigs to lift heavy and/or delicate equipment safely and effectively.
Monitoring and minor supervision of contract maintenance staff.
Accurately reads drawings to determine assembly/disassembly procedures, tolerances, welding procedures, machining procedures, and parts requirements.
Takes routine readings with predictive maintenance vibration analysis equipment and enters data into database. Observes trends and alerts Maintenance Foreman or Plant Engineer of any upward trends in vibration.
Works in other areas as required by workload priorities.
Troubleshoots equipment and makes recommendations to Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Engineer.
Accurately documents work performed and maintains documentation on file for future references.
Ensures that work area is properly cleaned up after job is complete.
Supports the team approach to facility O & M.
Recognizes the types of safety equipment needed for a job and ensures that the proper equipment is utilized by all team members.
Takes a lead role in contributing to facility profitability by eliminating wasted parts, materials, and supplies and maintaining high personal productivity. Minimizes rework by ensuring that repairs are done properly.
Other duties as assigned.
What skills and experience do you need?
Minimum Senior Technical School or equivalent. Bachelor degree would be an advantage.
Minimum three (3) years of directly related work experience, preferred in power plant.
Able to perform predictive/preventive maintenance and basic lubrication;
Expertise in rotary equipment troubleshooting, alignment, and maintenance.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Willing to work shifts (day/night) and on a work roster;
Willing to be working as local-hired.
