A leading company in the transformer industry seeks an experienced professional for sales and marketing of transformer measuring devices and safety devices in Asia Pacific. This role includes collaboration with sales management, technical training for customers, and business development. Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree, significant industry experience, and exceptional negotiation skills.

The opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced professional to promote our Transformer Measuring and Safety Devices product portfolio, along with non-condenser core bushings and de-energized tap changers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales, marketing, and business development related to our products manufactured in Turkey and the USA. This role is based in Indonesia and will primarily focus on Distribution Transformer OEMs and Product Distributors in the Asia Pacific region.
How you’ll make an impact:
You will collaborate with Territory Sales and Marketing managers to promote Measuring and Safety devices, non-condenser bushings, and de-energized tap changers (DETC) within Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for meeting sales targets, liaising with factories in Turkey and the USA to provide quotations, technical support, and manage product customization projects.
You will conduct technical training for customers such as OEMs, EPCs, utilities, and distributors, support promotional marketing events in Asia Pacific, and facilitate the availability of product samples.
You will work with utilities to obtain homologation and product approval, clarify tender specifications, and provide market intelligence to our component supply factories and the Global Product Group.
You will support business activities between component supply factories and Hitachi Energy Transformer Units in Asia Pacific, collaborating with Hitachi Energy Service and third-party service companies on service projects.
You will create synergies among all I&C supply factories to increase sales volumes per project and be willing to travel within Asia Pacific (up to 50%).
You will ensure compliance with all relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with additional qualification in business administration.
Over 5 years of experience in technical sales and marketing within a similar product portfolio.
Market knowledge in distribution transformers and power transformers, with experience in business development, account management, and cross-selling of systems, solutions, products, and services.
Understanding of contract negotiation, risk management, and legal terms.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to build long-term customer relationships. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
Fluency in English is required; additional languages such as Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, or Korean are advantageous.
