Job Description:
  1. Machine Maintenance and Repair: Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on food production machines to ensure smooth operations. Handle machine breakdowns and ensure repairs are carried out quickly to minimize downtime.
  2. New Equipment Installation and Testing: Assist in the installation of new equipment or production lines. Test machines after repairs or installations to ensure they are functioning properly.
  3. Production Process Monitoring: Monitor the performance of machines and equipment during the production process to ensure product quality and safety are maintained. Periodically calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy according to standards.
  4. Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality team to ensure that all production equipment complies with food health and safety regulations. Implement measures to prevent contamination and maintain cleanliness in the production area.
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular reports on machine performance, maintenance carried out, and problems that arise. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols applicable in the factory.
  6. Team Training and Support: Train machine operators or factory workers on the basic operation and maintenance of equipment. Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:

Relevant educational programs include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, food technology, and manufacturing engineering. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in the field of food manufacturing machines. Have a certificate or training in food manufacturing, which provides specific knowledge of food industry equipment and processes such as HACCP and GMP Training. Experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the food sector, is essential. Understanding food production, processing, and packaging processes—including food safety regulations is an added advantage. Candidates should have experience operating, repairing, and maintaining food production machines, as well as skills in mechanical and electrical repairs, since they will work with a variety of machines and equipment. The ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems quickly and efficiently is essential. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively with production teams, managers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
