The role

We currently have opportunities for qualified technicians to join our team as Technical Advisors UG Drill’s based in the Freeport Indonesia - Grasberg Block Cave mines located in the Papua Province, Indonesia.

The opportunity is well suited for those with strong customer-centric and technical support experience for Sandvik underground drill and bolt equipment.

You will be a key member of an established team and drive the reliability and availability of the underground mining fleet while supporting a zero-harm safety culture.

The opportunity will see you:

Conducting yourself in accordance with our EHS Vision to achieve Zero Harm to; our people, the environment we work in, our customers and our suppliers

Lead and Training the national team to deliver effective contract management and contract control

EHS standards and the efficient management of contracts personnel.

Collaborate with Technical Support Manager & General Manager for EHS initiatives, training requirements, specific customer requirements, policies and procedures

Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming end user requests. Provides technical support services to end users

Responsible to ensure all equipment are on time PM’s schedule

Ensure all UG Drills and Utilities machines are achieve the costumer target and goals

Collaboration and customer support at regular customer meetings, being the 1st point of contact and delivering presentations & reports as per contract requirements.

Assist the client with accurate data capturing

Top 10 failure reporting and root cause analysis

Act in line with the Sandvik WayOpens in new window and Leadership ModelOpens in new window to set ambitious targets and develop people to reach the business objectives.

Make informed decisions aligned with Business strategy and Group policies and frameworks.

Actively drive digitalization and develop digitalized data capturing and reporting

Your profile

To be successful in this position you must be trade qualified or have similar qualifications disciplined in mechanical, electrical and hydraulics systems.

You will have extensive experience in a similar role in the underground mining industry with a minimum of seven years’ experience maintaining Sandvik underground drill and bolting equipment. Importantly, you will have a strong understanding of underground drilling and bolting principles and practices combined with deep working knowledge of the Sandvik product range.

In addition to your expert technical knowledge, you will have good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships.
