Position Summary

The general role for the Field Technician is to ensure the proper execution of field work and coordination of the field activities.

Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities
  • Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports.
  • Discuss equipment and tools requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, toolbox and all other required tools for use in the field.
  • Study and analyze project information documents, operation manuals, pigging procedures and other project-related documents.
  • Establish professional contact with client’s field personnel creating friendly working relations.
  • Execute field work in a safe, effective and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECARE QA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource and financial planning.
  • Coordinate field activities between PIPECARE team, subcontractor, client and other involved parties.
  • Perform ILI runs successfully without data loss as per POF & API standards.
  • Conduct sufficient cleaning runs to the established PIPECARE cleaning criteria.
  • Conduct site survey and DGPs Survey in line with PIPECARE procedures and operational requirement.
  • Execute all other tasks as requested by Team Leader within the assigned job role.
Accountability
  • Timely Project execution within the assigned job role.
  • Perform and complete the job successfully.
  • Submission of daily reports.
General Responsibilities

  • Follow PIPECARE’s Process Flow Charts and interact with other departments when required.
  • Assure timely and accurate reporting to PIPECARE.
  • Identify training requirements.
Skills/Experience:
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant).
  • Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.
  • Fluency in English; the language of the Territory is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
