PT Tirta Nusantara Sukses is seeking a Tax Specialist in Jakarta Selatan to manage tax obligations, ensure timely reporting, and optimize tax positions. The role requires reviewing contracts, data reconciliation, and collaboration with Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure compliant tax treatment.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting/Finance, a Brevet Pajak or equivalent, at least 5 years in tax, and strong knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and VAT.
Tax Specialist role responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all company tax obligations, including calculations, payments, tax reporting, and other tax administration accurately and timely in accordance with applicable regulations.
Key responsibilities
Manage and ensure compliance with all company tax obligations, including calculations, payments, tax reporting (SPT), and other tax administration accurately and timely
Conduct review of transactions, contracts, and company business activities from tax aspects and provide recommendations on appropriate tax treatment in accordance with tax regulations
Identify tax planning and tax optimization opportunities that can be conducted legally and prudently while considering compliance, risk, and financial impact
Conduct tax data reconciliation with accounting/finance data, analyze differences or potential tax exposure, and ensure all transactions are treated appropriately from tax perspective
Handle and coordinate tax examination processes, clarifications, objections, and other tax processes with tax authorities and external parties, including preparing required data, documents, and analysis
Identify potential tax risks from operational activities and business transactions and provide mitigation recommendations to prevent potential sanctions and financial exposure
Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Procurement, Commercial, and related functions to review transactions and business agreements to ensure tax implications are properly considered
Monitor developments in tax regulations, policies, and provisions relevant to company operations and identify impacts on processes, transactions, and tax obligations
Support execution and documentation of related party transactions, including transfer pricing analysis and fulfillment of documentation obligations
Coordinate with external tax consultants, auditors, notaries, banks, vendors, customers, and other external parties regarding company tax needs and issues
Qualification:
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Professional tax qualification or certification (such as Brevet Pajak or equivalent) is essential
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a tax compliance or tax advisory role
Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax law, regulations and compliance requirements
Experience with corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT) and other applicable taxes
Proficiency in tax accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations
