Job summary

PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk. is seeking a Tax Officer to manage tax compliance and reporting across the company in Indonesia.

You will work with the finance team to ensure accurate filings, timely payments, and adherence to local tax laws and regulations. Key duties include collecting input tax invoices, preparing withholding tax slips, entering data into Coretax, e-SPT, SoluTax, and Pronto, and supporting audits, VAT restitution, and monthly PPh/PPN reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in tax compliance and reporting.
• Familiarity with Indonesian tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with ERP and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify input tax invoices from vendors via Accounts Payable.
• Prepare withholding tax slips (PPh 23 / PPh 4(2)).
• Enter tax data into Coretax, e-SPT, SoluTax, and Pronto.
• Prepare supporting documents for tax audits and examinations.
• Reconcile tax with GL and monthly SPT Masa.
• File and archive tax records (SPT, invoices, payment slips).
• Create tax billing codes and process payments.
• Prepare monthly tax reports for PPh and PPN.
• Ensure output tax invoices match transactions.
• Assist in preparing SPT Tahunan Badan and corrections.
• Support VAT restitution with supporting docs.
• Report updates to Tax Supervisor on daily issues.
• Support projects and other duties.

Job Overview

As a Tax Officer at PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk., you will be responsible for managing the company's tax compliance and reporting. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and payments. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the company's tax obligations are met and in compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and verify input tax invoices from vendors through the Accounts Payable (AP) team.
• Prepare withholding tax slips (PPh 23 / PPh 4(2)) for applicable transactions.
• Perform tax data entry into tax systems and ERP systems, including Coretax, e-SPT, SoluTax, and Pronto.
• Prepare supporting documents and schedules for tax audits and tax examinations.
• Assist in tax reconciliation between General Ledger (GL) and monthly tax returns (SPT Masa).
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of tax records, including SPT, tax invoices, tax payment slips, and withholding tax slips in both digital and physical formats.
• Create tax billing codes and process tax payments in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Support the preparation of monthly tax reports and summaries related to PPh and PPN.
• Ensure output tax invoices are issued accurately and in line with related transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of Annual Corporate Income Tax Returns (SPT Tahunan Badan), including data collection and simple fiscal corrections.
• Support VAT restitution processes by preparing and organizing supporting documents.
• Provide regular updates to the Tax Supervisor regarding daily tax operational issues and compliance matters.
• Support ongoing projects and perform other duties assigned by the superior.
