A leading company in the forestry sector seeks a Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance and litigation. The role requires extensive experience, including proficiency with Indonesian tax laws and applications. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a Tax Attorney license. Review and analyze tax documents and financial reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage and review monthly tax compliance (WHT 23/26, 4(2), VAT) for multiple entities across different business sectors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Handle tax litigation with tax authorities, including correspondences, audits, objections, appeals, and due diligence.
Lead the preparation and reconciliation of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Returns, ensuring all attachments are complete and accurate.
Provide technical tax support in business model discussions to ensure compliance and identify potential tax risks, especially in strategic matters.
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Accounting teams to support the execution of tax strategies.
Develop and maintain tax plans, compliance procedures, and risk assessment frameworks.
Oversee the filing of tax returns (income tax, GST, etc.).
Identify, track, and report financial risks, working with accounting teams on solutions.
Advise internal stakeholders on financial issues, including tax implications of decisions.
Stay updated on Indonesian tax laws and regulations, identifying potential risks or opportunities.
Act as the main point of contact for tax-related matters.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
8+ years of hands-on tax experience, preferably in Forestry or Plantation industries.
License as a Tax Attorney at the Indonesian Tax Court is required.
Proficiency in tax applications such as e-Faktur, SPT Unifikasi, e-Form, Coretax.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, including VAT, CIT, and Withholding Tax.
Experience managing multiple relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
Willing to travel for business.
