Job summary

PT Everde Global Mineral in Jakarta is seeking a Tax Assistant Manager to join the Accounting team. The role focuses on preparing corporate tax returns (PPh Badan) and VAT filings, monitoring regulatory changes, and developing tax plans to optimise the company's position.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of tax or accounting experience, strong Indonesian tax knowledge, and proficiency with SAP/ERP systems. A path for career progression is highlighted within our growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a taxation or accounting role, preferably within a corporate environment or professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax law, including corporate income tax, value added tax, customs duties, transfer pricing and other applicable tax regulations.
• Experienced in handling tax audits, objections, and appeals.
• Excellent proficiency with accounting software and tax compliance systems, including SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent communication in Indonesian and English, with the ability to present complex tax information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns along with VAT filings for submission to Indonesian tax authorities.
• Monitor changes in Indonesian tax legislation and international tax developments to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax efficiency.
• Support development and implementation of tax planning strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors and government tax authorities on tax matters, audits and disputes as required.
• Maintain accurate tax provision calculations and ensure timely accrual postings in the general ledger.
