Amartha is embarking on an exciting new journey and seeks passionate data scientists to shape the next wave of data-driven innovation. The goal is to ensure Amartha leverages data insights to leapfrog into the next phase of its impactful journey.

As a data scientist at Amartha, you will use your expertise in statistics and data analysis to support and optimize our current business processes. You will have the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art big data tools and methods to process large datasets. In this role, you will work closely with other data scientists, data engineers, and business users to develop various data products and deliver tangible business value. Additionally, you will experience rapid personal growth in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities

1. Provide ad hoc data requests for business stakeholders.
2. Design and develop dashboards to monitor critical business metrics.
3. Collaborate with data engineers to develop analytical data pipelines and generate data marts for data-driven decision making.
4. Work with business users and technical teams to design and develop technical solutions for business problems.
5. Create in-depth analysis reports from diverse business questions and present findings using effective data storytelling techniques.
6. Explore new data science techniques to continuously improve business processes at Amartha.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or quantitative fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in extracting data from databases using SQL.
• Proficiency in scripting for data analysis using Python or R.
• Experience in statistical modeling is a plus.
• Ability to create effective data visualizations and present insights clearly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Resilience and adaptability to face uncertainties and challenges.
• Ability to think clearly under pressure.
• Growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
