With the rise of hyperscalers, cloud services have evolved to the point where leveraging cloud technology is now the norm. For businesses to successfully transform, utilizing cloud technology has become essential.

However, when we look at Japanese companies, many still use the cloud merely as a substitute for on-premises servers, failing to harness the full potential of cloud technology. To address this, our Engineering unit provides comprehensive support, from cloud strategy formulation to implementation and adoption, with the goal of maximizing the cloud’s capabilities and ensuring successful business transformation for our clients.

Our Engineering team is looking to strengthen its ranks by welcoming new members who are passionate about helping Japanese companies leverage cloud technology for further growth.

In Southeast Asia, an economic zone approaching a population of 700 million, Japanese companies are increasingly keen to invest. As Japanese businesses in Southeast Asia expand and diversify, consultations on technology-driven transformations are on the rise.

Our division has seen steady growth over the past three years, with a marked increase in projects focused on establishing seamless global management and enhancing management transparency, especially since COVID-19.

The following are examples of key themes in our engineering projects for Japanese companies in Southeast Asia:

We design and support the implementation of comprehensive systems to drive clients' business transformations using cloud technology:

• Cloud Strategy & Architecture:
  Providing end-to-end support from the formulation to execution of cloud strategies, helping clients rapidly secure a competitive advantage in their evolving business landscapes. We also assist in establishing organizational functions to maximize cloud usage, alongside strategic planning.
• Platform & Development - API Strategy & Management:
  Supporting the full lifecycle of API usage, from strategy development and architectural design to monitoring API operations, to help clients realize their business ecosystems.
• Platform & Development - Engineering:
  Designing cloud architectures using AWS and GCP and building container application development platforms.
• Platform & Development - MDM (Master Data Management):
  Assisting in building master data management frameworks crucial for globally operating companies.

Our division offers these services to provide strong, technology-focused support for clients' growth strategies from a consulting perspective.

As a Manager, you will demonstrate leadership in a mixed team of local and JCS members, managing projects while using personal strengths to support project and client development.

Requirements:

Professional experience in cloud strategy formulation and comprehensive system design within a consulting firm or technology firm (such as an SI or software vendor)

Expertise

Possess knowledge or experience in any of the following areas

Knowledge or experience in cloud strategy development

• Experience in understanding client business requirements across industries and designing comprehensive cloud-based system architectures
• Experience in designing and building hybrid cloud and on-premises system architectures

Knowledge or experience in API platforms

• Experience in building API platforms with various tools (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi, AWS, Apigee)
• Experience in building container application development platforms on AWS or GCP using K8S or OpenShift

Knowledge or experience in MDM (Master Data Management) implementation

• Experience in designing and implementing Master Data Management frameworks with any tool

Knowledge or experience in subscription platform implementation

• Experience in planning, designing, and implementing subscription business systems with any tool (preferably with Zuora experience)
• Proven track record of contributing to securing projects through proposal activities
• Experience in leading projects
• Native level Japanese and business level English or native level English and business level Japanese
• In-depth consulting experience in a specific industry (technology, consumer, manufacturing, etc.)
• Southeast Asia related consulting experience
