Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in testing and commissioning roles in construction or MEP projects.
• Experience in Data Center or large-scale facilities preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and standards.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute testing and commissioning across MEP systems.
• Prepare and review T&C procedures, method statements, test protocols, checklists, and commissioning plans.
• Commission HVAC, pumps, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting, fire protection, BMS/EPMS.

• Identify defects and manage punch list until closure.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure readiness and handover.
• Prepare T&C reports and as-built documents.

Role Description

The T&C Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting testing and commissioning activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Protection systems on construction projects. This role ensures that all installed systems are tested, verified, and handed over in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.

Job Description

• Plan, coordinate, and execute testing and commissioning activities across Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Protection systems, including pre-functional checks, functional performance tests, and integrated systems testing (IST).
• Prepare and review T&C procedures, method statements, test protocols, checklists, and commissioning plans.
• Commission systems such as HVAC and chilled water, ventilation, pumps, MV/LV switchgear, UPS, generators, ATS, grounding, lighting, fire detection and alarm, fire suppression, BMS/EPMS, and other critical infrastructure systems.
• Witness and conduct tests together with vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients, and ensure results meet the specified acceptance criteria.
• Verify that installed works are complete, safe, and consistent with approved drawings, specifications, and manufacturer requirements before energization and start-up.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and performance issues during testing, and coordinate corrective actions until closure (punch list management).
• Coordinate with project teams, QA/QC, engineering, procurement, site supervisors, and vendors to ensure testing readiness and smooth handover.
• Prepare and compile T&C reports, test records, commissioning documentation, and as-built/handover (O&M) documents.
• Support project planning and scheduling by providing T&C inputs and progress updates.
• Ensure all T&C activities comply with HSE requirements, applicable international and local standards, and project-specific requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in testing and commissioning roles within construction or MEP projects.
• Experience in Data Center or large-scale critical facility projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of testing and commissioning methodologies, test equipment, and relevant standards for the respective discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documents.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required to communicate effectively.
