We are seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers across Electrical and Mechanical disciplines to support the delivery and commissioning of mission-critical facilities.
This is an opportunity for engineers who have worked on hyperscale, colocation, cloud, AI/HPC or other mission-critical data centre environments and have hands‑on experience taking complex MEP infrastructure from construction completion through commissioning, integrated systems testing and operational handover.
We are particularly interested in professionals from leading data centre operators, cloud providers and major MEP/EPC contractors.
You will be involved in the commissioning and testing of critical electrical infrastructure, including:
- MV/LV electrical distribution systems
- MV switchgear, RMU, transformers and protection systems
- LV switchboards, MCCs and distribution boards
- Busway / busduct systems
- UPS systems and battery systems
- Standby generators and generator paralleling systems
- Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) / Static Transfer Switches (STS)
- Critical power distribution and redundancy architectures
- Protection relays and coordination
- Earthing and bonding systems
- Electrical metering and monitoring
- EPMS integration and controls
- Electrical safety systems
- Load-bank testing
- Generator failover and recovery testing
- Functional Performance Testing (FPT)
- Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
You will support the commissioning and performance verification of critical mechanical and cooling infrastructure, including:
- Chilled water systems
- Chillers and chiller plant controls
- Cooling towers and heat rejection systems
- CRAH / CRAC units
- Pumps, VFDs and associated control systems
- Primary / secondary chilled water systems
- CDU / liquid cooling systems where applicable
- HVAC and ventilation systems
- Mechanical plant controls
- BMS integration
- Temperature and humidity control
- Hydronic balancing and system performance
- Failure-mode testing
- Functional Performance Testing (FPT)
- Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
The successful candidate will be expected to operate beyond basic equipment start‑up and testing, with strong involvement throughout the full commissioning lifecycle:
- Review Basis of Design, design drawings, specifications and commissioning requirements.
- Develop and review Commissioning Plans (CxP), test procedures and test scripts.
- Review commissioning deliverables including pre‑functional checklists (PFCs) and functional test procedures.
- Coordinate Level 1–5 commissioning activities as applicable.
- Verify installation quality and system readiness prior to functional testing.
- Witness and execute equipment start‑up and functional testing.
- Coordinate with General Contractors, MEP contractors, OEMs, consultants and commissioning authorities.
- Develop and execute Functional Performance Tests (FPTs).
- Lead or support Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Test equipment and systems under normal, abnormal and failure conditions.
- Validate system response to simulated failures and loss‑of‑redundancy scenarios.
- Support black‑building, utility failure, generator and UPS failure‑mode testing.
- Troubleshoot commissioning issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Review test results, trend logs and system performance data.
- Track commissioning deficiencies, punch lists and close‑out actions.
- Ensure commissioning documentation is complete and aligned with project requirements.
- Support operational readiness and final handover to the data centre operations team.
