We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, with a strong background in Linux systems, virtualization technologies, and containerization platforms. As a System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

Important Note: This role is expected to work with our client in Banking.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage Linux-based systems to support our organization's IT infrastructure.
2. Utilize virtualization technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, or similar platforms to create, configure, and maintain virtual servers and environments.
3. Deploy, configure, and manage containerization solutions using Kubernetes and Docker to facilitate efficient application deployment and scaling.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess system needs, and design solutions that align with business objectives.
5. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify areas for improvement to ensure high availability and performance of services.
6. Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations to maintain system integrity and protect against potential vulnerabilities.
7. Develop and maintain documentation including system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
8. Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely response to critical incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid issue resolution.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to system engineering, virtualization, and containerization.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to work on-site in Jakarta.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a System Engineer or similar role.
4. Proficiency in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
5. Experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, etc.
6. Strong understanding of containerization concepts and experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
7. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
8. Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and task simplification.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
10. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
11. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
12. Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, VMware Certified Professional, Kubernetes certifications) are desirable but not mandatory.
