Job summary

MIFX is seeking a System Administrator in Jakarta to install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, both on‑premise and in the cloud. You will manage performance, storage, backups, security, and monitoring to ensure high availability.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a sysadmin role, strong cloud skills (AWS & Alibaba Cloud), scripting ability, and experience with automation tools. Hybrid collaboration with IT and DevOps is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and Alibaba Cloud services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3/OSS, IAM).
• Hands-on experience in Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Familiarity with firewall and security configuration (Cloudflare, AWS-WAF AliCloud Security Group).
• Experience with system monitoring (PRTG, CloudWatch, Grafana).
• Nice to have experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Basic scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell.

What you will do:

Infrastructure & Server Management

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers (on-premise & cloud).
• Manage system performance, storage, and virtualization to ensure uptime.
• Perform backups, updates, and patching regularly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server and network issues quickly.
• Manage EC2/ECS instances and S3/OSS storage.
• Configure IAM roles, security groups, and firewalls.
• Monitor cloud performance and optimize costs.
• Ensure security compliance and system availability.

Network & Security

• Set up and maintain DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and routing.
• Manage firewalls and security devices for all environments.
• Apply system hardening and access control policies.
• Monitor and fix network connectivity issues.

Operations & Support

• Provide Tier-2/3 support for infrastructure issues.
• Monitor system health and handle alerts.
• Maintain documentation for configurations and incidents.
• Work closely with IT, Security, and DevOps teams.
• Join 24/7 shift rotations and on-call schedules as needed.

What you will need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
