Job description

Overview

The Supply Chain Controller will report to the Country Controls Lead and effectively drive the control agenda for the entire plant finance by providing timely, accurate, and effective information including SKU-wise profitability analysis, key plant performance KPIs, and various analyses focused on cost rationalizations to the Operations Leadership team. This role will be based in our manufacturing facility in Cikarang.

Responsibilities

We will count on you to:

  1. Manage the reporting and analysis process of plant finances to ensure the quality, timeliness, and integrity of the financial statements.
  2. Ensure all plant inventory and costing statements, balance sheet, and cash flow adjustments and validations are reviewed before submitting results to Sector.
  3. Act as a custodian of company policies and procedures, performing the role of financial steward by maintaining a strong control environment, effectively leading a team to ensure higher engagement levels, and providing SME advice to key stakeholders (Agro, Production, and Supply Chain).
  4. Ensure error-free and timely reporting to Head Office, including detailed Balance Sheet Reviews for plant financials.
  5. Enhance ownership for all key processes at the plant and ensure sustained execution of key controls. Support BU Controller and Internal Control Manager in risk assessments and control testing.
  6. Primary liaison for communication and resolution of key accounting, reporting, and control issues between MU and Operations team (SC, Agro, Quality, GP).
  7. Coordinate with the Supply Chain to prepare reconciliations, costing variances, and ensure balances are correct (COGS, MOH, product costing).
  8. Support SAP CO implementation (product costing, inventory management, Agro management).
  9. Act as a Center of Expertise (COE) providing accounting guidance on business issues and initiatives, governance, and controls.
  10. Manage relationships with external service providers (IBM, auditors, tax/legal advisors, bankers).
  11. Oversee local tax cases collaborating with Business Controllers and Sector Tax Team or consultants.
  12. Drive best practices in financial reporting processes, including process improvements and relationship building with business leaders and SSC BPO.
  13. Develop and lead the implementation of financial policies and guidelines.
  14. Lead assessments of impact of accounting changes (e.g., inventory in transit, COGS recognition, etc.).

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  1. 7-10 years of experience in accounting, costing, and controller roles in MNCs and FMCG, with strong plant finance knowledge.
  2. SAP & HFM experience required; accounting qualifications are an advantage.
  3. Strong analytical skills with ability to see the big picture and details.
  4. Commercial, operational, and financial awareness with budget ownership.
  5. Deep understanding of internal control and process efficiency.
  6. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  7. Proven stakeholder management skills.
  8. People management experience.
  9. Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local standards.
  10. Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and apply situational leadership.
  11. Ability to foster trust and innovation.
