Overview
To ensure continuous supply of good quality material / service from external supplier.
Responsibilities
- Incoming Material Quality: Verify, analyze, and troubleshoot material quality problems at incoming and production.
- Conduct regular material review meetings with related departments and suppliers.
- Report incoming material status and quality conditions to superior.
- Track and monitor supplier performance.
- Establish audit plan and conduct periodic supplier audits.
- Conduct regular quality improvement meetings with suppliers.
- Develop ship-to-stock system with supplier.
- Source and perform new supplier/material evaluation.
- Establish inspection plans and inspection criteria for new material.
Authorization
- Issue of technical documents with approval from BT TPS QM SQM Manager.
- Freeze all incoming nonconforming material.
- Liaise with supplier to resolve material quality problems.
- Establish supplier audit plan with approval from BT TPS QM SQM Manager.
- Provide recommendations for new supplier/material.
Conditions of employment and interaction
- Cooperation / adjustment with project leaders of other internal departments within BT TPS.
- Working closely with TPS management and heads of departments of TPS.
Requirements
- Education: Degree/Diploma in any engineering discipline.
- Experience: Experience in quality assurance/control for at least 3 years; experience in IATF 16949/VDA 6.3 Quality System, ISO 9001 QMS; experience in performing audits; preferably in manufacturing with QM system.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
- Personal attributes: Ability to communicate with clients, consultants, auditors, etc.; able to travel overseas.
- Physical condition: Good health.
