Job summary

Philips in Batam is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality activities during new product introduction and ongoing production. You will review engineering drawings, track part-approval submissions, and help resolve supplier quality issues with cross-functional teams.

This onsite role requires you to work closely with procurement and project teams, with a policy of in-person collaboration at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Background in electronics/electrical manufacturing industries preferred.
• 2–6 years of relevant industry experience.

• Track and follow up on part-approval submissions with suppliers, ensuring parts meet quality standards.
• Monitor and follow up on supplier quality issues, escalating to senior team members where required.

Supplier audits are not required at this level.

• Monitor and follow up on supplier quality issues, escalating to senior team members where required.
• Support supplier quality data reviews and inspection activities.
• Collaborate with internal quality, procurement and project teams on supplier-related matters

You're the right fit if you have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Background in electronics, electrical or electronic manufacturing industries preferred
• Relevant industry experience of 2 - 6 years

Preferred technical Skills

• Reading technical and engineering drawings
• Basic quality tools and data analysis
• Clear follow-up and communication with suppliers and internal teams

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.This is an onsite role.
