A leading company in the mining sector is looking for a Supervisor for Asphalt Maintenance. The role involves overseeing asphalt maintenance activities, ensuring quality control, and managing a team effectively. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and have significant experience in the field. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers involved in asphalt maintenance, including patching, sealing, and resurfacing.
Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
Crew Management:
Assign tasks to crew members and monitor performance.
Provide training and guidance to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
Quality Control:
Inspect work sites to ensure proper slope, thickness, and material application.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience similar role as quality control asphalt paving or maintenance within facilities maintenance and has extensive experiences in facilities and services area in mining.
Deep as inspector expertise in facilities maintenance, including a knowledge of asphalt materials, equipment, and safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Have Frontline level operational inspector certificate (POP) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.
Possess leadership traits and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well and work productively with internal and external individuals.
Good in communication skills in English both verbal and written; computer literate.
