Job Description

ProSidian is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Nuclear Energy (Position Code: DNE011) to support projects at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, Illinois. The role involves providing high-level technical expertise related to nuclear and environmental management, specifically focusing on the development, licensing, and operation of nuclear centrifuge technologies, particularly the AC-100M model.

This position is contingent or W-2 employment with potential conversion to full-time employment. The SME will support DOE-related activities, including oversight of nuclear energy projects, ensuring compliance, and supporting deployment and licensing efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct independent technical reviews of centrifuge design, manufacture, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Provide expertise on Balance of Plant support systems and deployment.
• Collaborate with DOE to evaluate reports, assessments, and licensing documentation.
• Support DOE in deployment projects for enrichment capabilities.
• Ensure project compliance with schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Assist in hiring and team development efforts.
• Mitigate project risks and support performance-based contracts.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• At least 5 years of nuclear energy technology experience.
• Deep knowledge of AC-100M centrifuge development and licensing.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
• Strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with DOE regulations related to nuclear projects.

Preferred:

• Experience with nuclear licensing, centrifuge technology, and DOE project oversight.
