Job description

The Stunting Reduction Lead will be responsible for the day to day activities to ensure project implementation is carried out in accordance with objectives of the Foundation, as well as achieve the programs’ intended outputs and outcomes in a cost effective and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Manage the stunting reduction program starting from the designing to quality control
  • Initiate and manage partnership with stakeholders to accelerate the stunting reduction including conduct due diligence on the potential partnership
  • Provide technical assistance (insight and advisory) on the implementation of stunting reduction projects supported by Tanoto Foundation
  • Analyze the issues and challenges in projects implementation both in the context of target achievement and project governance
  • Serve as TF technical expert to influence government and stakeholders for stunting reduction initiatives
  • Liaise with national and local government for sustainability and scalability of stunting reduction initiatives

Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

  • Co-develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the program as well as how to monitor and measure the grants impact together with Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation Department
  • Monitor all program activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the program outputs
  • Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results
  • Suggest strategies to the Head of Learning Environments for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical framework/ Theory of Change;

People Development, Administrative, Recordkeeping, Budget Management and Compliance

  • Provide TA to field team through daily communication, regular meeting, training and visit
  • Interpret financial statements and develop project budget documents (TOR, PR, and SBA), budget adjustments, process purchase orders/requisitions, and approve expenditures
  • Interpret and apply the organization’s rules, policies, and regulations in accordance with prescribed procedures and guidelines, and ensure compliance
  • Perform other duties as required and requested by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in public health, nutrition, or related field;
  • A minimum eight years of working experience in development, non-profit or CSR especially in the health sector;
  • Ability to contribute to solving project implementation problems, by synthesizing and extracting insights from large and complex datasets;
  • Competency with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Understanding of project management and community development;
  • Good project management skills. A recognized project management certification (eg. PMP) would be very useful;
  • Familiar with office productivity tools and software;
  • Good command of English language, both spoken and in writing;
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to conduct effective presentation and can effectively lead meetings;
  • Willingness to travel to the Foundation’s operation areas.
