Job summary

PT. Prada Sinergi Bersama seeks an experienced Structural Fitter to assemble and install heavy steel structures. You will read technical drawings, ensure exact positioning, and work with millimetric tolerances in demanding environments. Autonomy, precise measurement, and adherence to safety are essential.

Preferred candidates have extensive shipyard or industrial experience, and proficient use of cutting, drilling, hydraulic jacks, and measuring tools to achieve high-quality assemblies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of proven professional experience in structural steel fabrication and fitting.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings (critical requirement).
• Experience in heavy steel structures and large components with millimetric tolerances.
• Ability to work autonomously on: layout and marking, alignment and tack welding of structures;
• Regular use of carpentry and fitting tools and equipment (cutting, drilling, hydraulic jacks, measuring instruments, etc.).
• High level of precision, operational autonomy, and strong focus on workplace safety.
• Experience in shipyards or complex industrial environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position and align structures in accordance with specified tolerances and project requirements.

• Weld and tack weld components to ensure proper fit and alignment.

Structural Fitters involved in the construction, assembly, and installation of heavy steel structures, including ship hull blocks, primary structures, and large steel components. The role requires the use of prefabricated elements and the accurate reading and interpretation of technical drawings, with direct responsibility for the correct positioning, alignment, and assembly of structures in accordance with specified tolerances and project requirements.
