Job summary

Seven Retail seeks a Business Strategy Associate to join our Strategy team in Jakarta. You'll work with senior leaders on high-impact projects spanning Growth Strategy and Corporate Strategy across our multi-brand ecosystem.

Experience in management consulting or related strategic roles, plus strong problem-solving and analytical skills, are essential. You will translate insights into actionable initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree from a top university; preferred disciplines include Business/Economics/Engineering/Finance/Math/Stats.
• Strong structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven thinking.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Ability to work on ambiguous and complex business problems with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; strong ownership.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic projects related to growth, market expansion and corporate strategy.
• Conduct market, customer, competitor and performance analyses to identify opportunities.
• Develop structured insights and recommendations for decision-makers.
• Build business cases, financial analyses and scenario assessments.
• Assist in strategic planning and evaluation of new business opportunities.
• Translate recommendations into actionable initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Track performance and progress of key initiatives; identify improvement areas.
• Prepare presentations and executive materials for leadership discussions.
• Own assigned workstreams from definition to execution.
