Job summary

AIA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking an experienced Operational Risk professional to support the Board, risk committees, and executives in developing and maintaining a robust risk management framework across directorates, products, and strategic programs.

You will lead risk assessments, oversee risk registers, RCA, control testing, incident and issue management, and produce risk insights for internal boards and regulators. Proficiency in English and strong stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least 7 years of enterprise risk management experience in life insurance.
• Experience as an auditor or consultant in financial services (Big 4) is an advantage.
• Professional certification such as CRM or similar is an advantage.
• Proactive, assertive, with strong stakeholder management with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk management framework across directorates, products, and strategic programs.
• Plan and execute operational risk processes: risk register, RCA, control testing, incident log, issue management, KRIs, third-party assessment.
• Perform risk assessments for new initiatives, regulations, products, and emerging risks.
• Develop data-driven risk analytics and reporting for stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Review policies, standards, and SOPs for adequacy and regulatory relevance.
• Assist directorates in managing external and internal audit activities and implementing recommendations.
• Prepare risk profile reporting for internal boards, committees, Group, and regulatory purposes.
• Promote risk awareness through regular communication and training programs.
